The overall situation of the Hong Kong film market in the first half of 2021. 

In the first half of 2021 (January 1 to June 30, 2021), the total number of films released in the first run in Hong Kong is 130, of which 24 are Hong Kong films and 106 are non-Hong Kong films. Under the pandemic, the theatres were ordered to close until February 18, 2021.  However, it was still under capacity restrictions. The theatres lost the Lunar new year holiday which is the most golden period of theatres. The box office of the Chinese and foreign films in the first half of this year -- the total income is only HK$375,988,654, which is compared with the income of HK$293,047,501 in the same period last year (in 2020, theatres also closed down from March 8, 2020 at 6 pm to May 7, 2020, total 41 days), although there was an increase of 28.3% compared with last year, but under normal circumstances, for example, the income in the first half of 2019 reached HK$1,045,864,695, which represented a drop of 2/3, a decrease of about 64%.
